OK, so that didn't happen, I haven't really planned anything - I went out last night.
But it's not as bad as you think. I went out to a Hacker News meetup - HNLondon. One of the things I've told myself I have to do and am surprisingly motivated to do, is break out of my programmer shell. It's very easy to sit around building software while ignoring people. You get in to a rut after a while where you don't really know how to talk to people anymore - that's where I'm at. Time to break free.
Anyway, something from the meetup that's worth checking out is ethereum, a platform for building and publishing distributed applications over decentralised networks. I might just be prototyping something today that could make use of it...
